Mr & Mrs Scheiblehner

Grady approached Lace Weddings in November last year. She was wanting to prove her friends and family wrong - they bet that she couldn't find a photographer at such late notice for her wedding to be held on the 14th April 2012 in Perth. We jumped at the opportunity for a trip to Fremantle where Ashton and myself very bravely drove all by ourselves!! It was only my second time EVER driving in Perth!

We were so excited when we arrived at our accommodation and made a bog lap around to find all the places we needed to go the next day. OMG! The locations we had for photos where just amazing and we couldn't wait for the next day! Night time came as we realized the sun actually set at 6:10pm! With the ceremony made for 5:30 we knew we weren't going to have any light for the location shoot so we started looking around for alternative ideas of what to do.

We knew their main focus was their ceremony, and an awesome Kombi they had hired for the day. With this in mind we knew exactly what we needed to get and how to get it.

After a very chilled out morning we headed to the Groom's house (Karl) where we snapped a few shots of the boys all scrubbed up...

We left the boys to relax as we headed over to see how the bride was going. We turned up at the front door and found ourselves feeling like little kids, so excited for the house we were about to walk into! It was like something out of a fairy tale, a beautiful cottage with such a magical feel around the whole place! There were wooden doors, spiraling staircases, dark wood floors, rustic blue gates with vines all around and the cutest bedroom windows to look out of! This was going to be soo much fun!

We made our way up the lovely wooden stairs out to the back yard to find the bride in an oh so quaint courtyard getting made up.

Ashton and I started gathering together all the little bits and pieces that needed photographing. The bouquet was just stunning - beautiful white lilies so simple and elegant...

Her head piece was hand made by her mother - so clever! Her jewelery included her Great Grandmothers bracelet and ring.

The shoes were so cute, and the rings... AMAZING! Ashton and I completely fell in love with Grady's wedding ring. It is so different and so her!

Grady's dress was also hand made, this time it was the handiwork of her mother-in-law to be! My god was it stunning!

The hairdresser did an amazing job. Grady's hair looked perfect. By this stage we could really see how everything was going to come together so well.

Ekk!!! Look...how...stunning...she is!!

Ashton got a ride to the wedding in the Kombi in order to capture Grady's last moments as a Winfield. As the same time, I went and began snapping away at the ceremony.

The ceremony was set up so beautifully. One gorgeous feature was colored paper cranes hanging in the big tree, in front of which Grady and Karl were to wed. The cranes were made by Grady's students and they really added added a special touch to the whole look.

5.30 arrived and the light turned to gold, creating a sensational backdrop as it shined through the tree. The wedding was amazing and there was so much love to be shared. Thank you Grady and Karl for the opportunity to be a part of your special day!

Mr & Mrs Morgan

My beautiful friend Sarah-Jayne got engaged in May 2011 to her high-school sweetheart of 10 years!! It had been a long time coming, but Dylan wanted to wait for the perfect time to give his girl the gorgeous engagement ring he had the jeweler make for her...

He obviously knows she loves her pink! Which made it a surprise to me when she said we were going to be helping her plan a Tiffany Blue wedding for her! Ekk!! How exciting! We soon got to work creating save the dates for the special day...

along with these stylish invitations.

With the theming to incorporate bling and class we went on to organize the whole look of the day, from the ceremony through to reception.

The ceremony was held at a gorgeous little park in East Fremantle. Down the aisle we had our aisle stakes (that my very clever poppy made for us!). Hanging off them we had our sweet white bird cages holding hanging glass balls and Tiffany flowers inside, complimented with our beautiful flower drops. White chairs and umbrellas really helped to set the scene.

We had so much fun theming and setting up the reception. Sarah-Jayne bought the bird cages she wanted in the tables' centres, and we had full run of the rest! We covered some battery operated candles to go into the cages to give that bit of colour to the centre of the table. We placed these on our round mirrors along with our Tiffany Blue table runners.

Our beautiful crystal candle holders and diamond scatters really brought the tables to life!

The menu and drinks list were made to be circular, in order to fit nicely into the middle of the plates. To add to this, the table numbers and name cards featured papers carried over from the invitations, tying them in perfectly!

We also created these gorgeous stubby holders for the wedding - one design for the girls and another for the guys.

And what better gift then a Tiffany box with a yummy chocolate inside! Ferrero Rocher, mmm.

We can't help but share our new chair covers and the beautiful sash rosettes! Something a little different to help bring it all together.

Our framed custom table list proved to be a hit. We received lots of comments on how great it looked!

The whole day was amazing! and not only were we lucky enough to theme and set up the wedding, we also got to take their professional photographs on the day. Please enjoy the following photos from the day that Sarah-Jayne and Dylan wed.

A beautiful day, a beautiful people, what else could you ask for?

Our First Wedding

The Beautiful Kasey Slootmans, where to start?

I actually met Kasey back in high-school when we spent year 11 & 12 hanging out enjoying life! Not much could ever bring Miss Kasey down, she is the most happy, bubbly, down to earth person you will ever meet!

<<Our year 12 sports carnival

Kasey met her lover boy Brenton in 2007 and just when you thought someone couldn't get happier this boy made her smile larger than ever!!

They got engaged in October 2011 and soon after Kasey organized a meeting with myself to talk about her engagement party invitations. At the meeting she informed me that her engagement invites where actually for her surprise wedding they where planning for March!!

So with this in mind we had to keep the invitations simple but elegant, fun but formal...

After creating the invitations the next step was to design and print the stubby holders for Kasey to give to her guests. I had fun designing these and really liked the end result, I hope you all do too!

Before we knew it the wedding day was upon us! 3rd March 2012. Ashton and myself set up in the church awaiting for the beautiful bride to arrive, and wow, I was completely speechless at the beauty that walked through the door, the stunning Kasey had arrived!

Kasey's dress was made by a family friend and was absolutely stunning! The whole day was beautiful, a day we will always remember and we feel so lucky to have been apart of. Lets finish this blog off with the thank-yous I created for the lovely Mr & Mrs Thomas :)
